Bellingham Bay is the ideal place to begin your cruise through
the San Juans, the Canadian Gulf Islands, and points north
like Desolation Sound and Princess Louisa Inlet. We're just
ninety freeway minutes from Seattle and even less from Vancouver.
The North Cascades and Mount Baker are our backyard, an island
playground our front yard. Fly to Seattle and take advantage
of our "one-way, one-day, no drop off charge" car
rental service, or take one of many daily flights right into
Bellingham.
Beyond our bay the entire
archipelago of islands beckons you to begin exploring the
countless islands, beaches, coves, and passages. Sucia Island,
one of the group's finest, is only hours away. Bellingham
is closer to the Canadian Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound,
Princess Louisa Inlet and the Inside Passage. And that gives
you more time in the islands, where Bald Eagles nest in tall
evergreens, myriad seabirds feed in the tide rips, porpoises
play in your bow wake. Dungeness crab are abundant, with salmon,
rockfish, and cod caught for dinner.
Perhaps because of its
unique advantages, ours is the largest marina in the region,
with the newest, most accessible docks, rest rooms, showers,
carts, and free parking. The harbor boasts excellent chartering
companies, chandleries, and fine seafood restaurants. Large
markets are nearby-from gourmet to discount. Quality hotels
and motels offer special rates for charter guests and free
transportation to and from markets and the marina.
